Power BI Licensing Guide

I have received many requests for a Power BI (PBI) Premium individual license over the last 2 years. I feel safe saying 90% or more of them only needed a Power BI Pro license. And, practically all of those already had a Pro license by way of their Microsoft Knowledge Worker (M365 E5) license.

I estimate that about half of those requests have been where you requested the license on behalf of another teammate.

When you get a request from a teammate for a PBI Premium license, please consult this short guide, or give it to the teammate for consultation, in order to make an informed decision as to whether a fresh service ticket for a PBI Premium license request should be created. This should help us, going forward, to be more efficient in our work.
