Troubleshooting Printers
Before you troubleshoot:
1. Are you printing to the correct printer?
2. Is it powered on?
3. Is there paper/ink in the printer?
4. Is the right kind of paper selected?
5. If wired printer, is it plugged in? If wireless, is it connected to the network?
6. Check for paper Jams
Solution #1: Power Cycle Printer
1. Turn Printer off
2. Unplug printer
3. Hold down power button for 30 seconds
4. Turn printer back on again
Solution #2: Check Connection
Wired:
1. Make sure usb is securely connected to PC. If unsure, unplug the cable and plug it back in.
2. Make sure drivers are up to date. To do this, go into settings and check for windows updates. If there are optional updates available, select them and update them.
3. If neither of these steps work, put in a helpdesk ticket.
Wireless:
1. Make sure you have connected to the printer using printix
